Is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that’s used to treat skin concerns. Microneedling is a special device that has many tiny sterile, single-use needles that pierce the skin, causing micro-damage, which causes the body to start the natural regeneration of new skin cells. This stimulates collagen and elastin production.

Microneedling is most often used on your face,neck,chest, and top of the hands to target:

• acne scars

• other types of scars

• sun spots/pigmentation

• fine lines and wrinkles

• large pores

• reduced skin elasticity

• uneven skin tone

The idea is that pinpricks from the procedure cause micro-punctures to the skin and the skin responds by making new collagen-rich tissue. This new skin tissue is, in turn, more even in tone and texture. It’s normal for the skin to lose collagen via age or injury. By encouraging the skin to make new tissue, there may be more collagen to help make the skin firmer, too!

CONSULTATION PROCESS:

We will evaluate your skin, discuss risks and contra-indications, and answer any questions you have regarding the treatment. This consultation will be roughly 30 minutes, as you will need to fill in the consultation & contract from.

DAY OF TREATMENT:

Please come to your appointment with freshly cleansed skin. Please avoid alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment. No numbing cream is needed for Microneedling. This treatment can take about 1-1.5 hours, depending on the size of the area and if more than one area is being treated. A manual tool is used to needle alongside the most prominent lines/wrinkles. Then the 12-guage needle pen is applied to the skin with a Hyaluranoic Acid serum. After treatment a soothing mask is applied for 20 minutes that reduces the inflammation caused by the treatment. It is in general a relaxing treatment with clients often getting in a quick nap! Skin will be red and flushed, similar to sunburn, after the treatment, you may experience skin tightness, this will diminish in 24-48 hours. You will also be given a skin cocktail to take home to apply for 2 days following treatment.
